Automated External Defibrillators

Every year in New Zealand over 2,000 people are treated for sudden cardiac arrest that occurs in the community. Death from cardiac arrest is our 'silent toll'. It can happen to anyone of any age, including children. One of the most effective ways of protecting your family, friends, colleagues or staff in such situations is equipping them with an automated external defibrillator (AED). An onsite AED can dramatically increase a victim’s chance of survival during sudden cardiac arrest. For every minute without defibrillation, a patient’s chance of survival falls by 10–15 percent.

However, many cardiac arrests occur at out of hospital, so having an AED in your home, company or community can save precious minutes in reviving a person. Our AED devices ensure that every life is saved when seconds count!
